Candle Stamping

You will need:
Pillar candle (I usually use white.)
Stamps
Ink
White tissue paper
Wax paper
Craft heat gun
A small damp sponge

The first step is to stamp your images the way you want them onto your tissue paper. If you want a whole candle completely random stamped, cut the tissue paper to the size of the candle and stamp the whole piece.

Next you will carefully tear or cut out your image(s) from the tissue paper. Tearing is harder to do but you won't see a harsh line on the candle. So I recommend it.

Then align the tissue paper onto the candle the way you want it. Taking your sponge, moist the tissue paper so it sticks to the candle.

Wrap your wax paper around the candle so there is enough for you to hold on to on the back side. Make sure it is tight.

Using your craft heater, carefully heat the candle (roughly 6 inches away) until you see the tissue paper "melt" into the candle.

After cooling, slowly peel away the wax paper. If the image begins to lift with it, reapply the wax paper and continue heating.

Add your embellishments and enjoy!

There are many more ways you can do candles.

If you want a printed image:
Tape tissue paper onto a 8 1/2" x 11" piece of cardstock, making sure it is tight. Run through your printer and follow the same steps as above.

If you want to make your stamped images really POP, you can emboss them with embossing powder.

You can add glitter to your candle! Carefully melt the candle and sprinkle some glitter on it.
